Ethiopia’s attractions are myriad and diverse, and no one itinerary can encompass them all.
The itineraries below are an indicative rather an exhaustive list.
-
Here at Travel Ethiopia we
will work with you to tailor make an itinerary to meet your timetable, special needs and interests.
-
For convenience we have divided our tours into 8 geographical sectors and themes.
-
Travel
Ethiopia can provide any mix of these sectors and activities, from birdwatching and history to
trekking and botany.
-
Activities for the first and last days will depend on visitors’ times of arrivals and departures and airline used.

Lalibela, Gondar, and Bahir Dar, this famous route may be visited by air or road. If you

The most dramatic
mountain scenery in Africa.
-
The great Rift, a huge fault in the earth’s
surface, extends through Africa from Mozambique across the Red Sea. In Ethiopia it is

Mountains and the mysterious caves and underground river of Sof Omar.
-
A few hour’s drive south of Addis Ababa,
Awash's attractions include nearly 400 recorded bird species, a variety of mammals, and the
opportunity to visit Ethiopian village life. Harer is the ancient walled city of 99
mosques, considered Islam's 4th holiest place.
-
The focus of interest in this sector is
people; in particular the different ethnic groups along the Omo River, although
there is also marvelous scenery and wildlife.
-
-
-
The unique Surma people, their rituals and dancing, in the midst of
unspoiled wilderness.
-
Ethiopia is a paradise for bird watchers, with
more than 850 recorded species of which 29 are endemic.
-
All of Ethiopia is to some extent "off
the beaten track." The above sectors reflect the better known itineraries for
visitors, but Travel Ethiopia knows and will be happy to take you to some less
visited, less known places.
-
If you are fortunate enough to be visiting
Ethiopia, but unfortunate enough to have just a day or two or three to spare, don't
despair. Travel Ethiopia can provide a taste of the best of Ethiopia in a short time.
You'll want to come back for more.
